The Montville District 1 Fire Prevention Bureau is tasked with the enforcement of all local ordinances and state fire codes.  This includes all commercial occupancies, multi-family residential properties, and the sale or rental of one and two family dwellings.

The Fire Prevention Bureau looks to minimize the risk of loss of life and property through enforcement and education of the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code.  This is accomplished through fire code inspections, public education, and community outreach.
