MONTVILLE FIRE DISTRICT 1 MISSION STATEMENT
The commissioners are elected by the voters of the fire district to ensure the residents that they will be safeguarded with the most adequate firematic system for protection of their lives and
property. The commissioner’s duties are to provide the fire department with state-of-the-art
firefighting equipment and communication devices. The fire department personnel are required to undertake firefighters training and be certified before they can participate in a fire call
situation.
The fire department chief and the fire official, of the fire prevention bureau; report to the fire
commissioners on their monthly activities including fire calls, appropriate responses of
personnel and equipment and any problems associated with their responsibilities.
Our fire department consists of volunteer’s, not only involved with firematic conditions, but also offer their services for any other emergency including mutual aid assistance with our community neighbors.

OPEN PUBLIC MEING ACT NOTICE
The Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District Number 1, Montville, New Jersey will meet on the second Thursday of each month to discuss or act upon public business at 7:00 PM on each of the dates listed below. The meetings will be held at the Fire Station number three (3) located at 86 River Road, Montville, NJ 07045. The notices are posted on the bulletin board at the Municipal building in Montville, NJ and places on file at the Township’s Clerk’s office and advertised in the Daily Record and the Citizen newspapers.
